The LHC is back

Sun 22 Nov 2009

Congratulations to all at CERN on the successful restart of the LHC on Friday 20 November. Particle beams are once again circulating! This news comes after the machine was handed over for operation on Wednesday morning. A clockwise circulating beam was established at ten o'clock on Friday evening. This is an important milestone on the road towards first physics at the LHC, expected in 2010.
